Pharrell's production feel is felt. Crisp and percussive, particularly in the mid-high end, the Latin jazz aesthetic is adhered to loosely enough to convey itself conceptually. It bridges the gap though, between the old and the new.

A song that breathes salsa melody, "Havana" evokes Santana, but does away with his guitar. It's smooth yet spicy enough to satisfy.

Got me feelin' like...



Young Thug's contribution is sporadic as usual - puttering this way and that across the soundscape like so much loose change. Still, he fits into the rhythm relatively well and succeeds in not detracting from the mood, for the most part.

I kid the kid; really I do... For the most part.
