Art Nouveau swept the art and design space like a tempest back in the late 1800's and many artists drew serious inspiration from the movement.

One such artist was Alphonse Mucha whose lovely work encapsulates the style and epoch quite beautifully.

"Art exists only to communicate a spiritual message." - Alphonse Mucha

A gifted singer, Mucha would ultimately turn to decorative drawing, painting and illustrating over a career in music - producing a sizable body of impressive works throughout his lifetime.

Mucha was Czechoslovakian and his gifts were quite highly regarded in his homeland. In fact, his art was featured on the 1920 Republic of Czechoslovakia 100 korun note!

“If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all.” - Michelangelo

Works of his such as Le Pater, a printed masterpiece of occult references to the Lord's Prayer, are priceless beauties to behold. Also, his twenty-strong series of massive paintings entitled the Slav epic has been on prominent display for over 40 years.
